The predecessor of hbay, known as Hdbay, was formed in the new millennium 2000 by Housing & Development Board to revamp and upgrade the interior design and renovation industry.

This is achieved through the three 'A's - Advice, Accredit and Audit -- a holistic and practical model for the industry to collaborate and achieve as a team, towards the pinnacle of excellence.
